Glucoraphanin (Broccoli Seed Extract)

Mechanism of Action

Stable precursor to sulforaphane. Requires myrosinase enzyme (from gut bacteria or co-administered) for conversion. Provides sustained sulforaphane release compared to direct supplementation. Activates Nrf2 pathway for antioxidant and detoxification gene expression.

Interactions

  • Same as sulforaphane — mild CYP1A2 induction

Contraindications

  • Thyroid conditions (goitrogen at very high doses)
